Shipping and lead times

Every piece in the first edit is built or finished to order by a small workshop, not pulled from a warehouse shelf — so shipping starts with a conversation, not a tracking number.

How an order actually moves

There is no live checkout yet on tea.furniture — each request from the catalog or a request list reaches a person first, who confirms availability, exact lead time and a shipping quote for your address before anything is built, finished or crated.

Crating and transit

Tables and cabinets ship white-glove where the destination allows it, packed in a plywood crate with a dehumidifier pack to protect solid-wood joinery from humidity swings in transit. Lighter pieces — cushions, mats, canisters, lamps — ship in standard parcel packaging. Assembly on arrival is minimal: most low tables and stands need only legs or a drainage tray fitted, never full self-assembly.

Lead time

Because pieces are made or finished to order across workshops in Kunming, Zhejiang, Fujian and Saint Petersburg, lead time varies by piece and by season — this is confirmed with you directly once a request comes in, not quoted as a single fixed number across the whole catalogue.

Wholesale and tea-house orders

Multi-unit orders for a tea house, restaurant or teaching space are handled through wholesale.teamotea.com rather than as individual catalog requests.
