Sandry Law 初次遇见这些 zabuton 垫，是在大理早市后方一间隐密的小工坊。制作者 — 一个三代传承的棉絮家庭 — 仍沿用白族流传下来的手工弹棉法。他们的垫层取材自洱海周边山谷的粗棉，缓慢压实以杜绝结块，再以矿物染线织成的亚麻罩布包裹。此处的石色调，来自当地灰泥的水洗处理，并以温和的铁媒染剂固色，因此每张垫子的色调皆略有不同。
Sandry 亲眼见证了示范：车缝师将亚麻布套拉过一团棉云，两度反折边缘，再车上一道紧密的缝线 — 没有滚边，也没有合成填充物。就在当天下午，他为 tea.furniture 订下了首批。这些垫子现在仍来自同一间工坊，由同一位师傅监制每一件作品。它们的设计，足以承受一生的跪坐使用，进到茶室里不喧哗 — 对一张地板垫而言，这是最高的赞誉。

Grain, at rest
Crisp, cool surface — the linen’s irregular stone-grey weave recalls unglazed clay. Mild raw-cotton scent from the batting.

After a session, the fibers relax slightly, holding a gentle impression of warmth without flattening.
