Sandry Law 初次遇見這些 zabuton 墊，是在大理早市後方一間隱密的小工坊。製作者 — 一個三代傳承的棉絮家庭 — 仍沿用白族流傳下來的手工彈棉法。他們的墊層取材自洱海周邊山谷的粗棉，緩慢壓實以杜絕結塊，再以礦物染線織成的亞麻罩布包裹。此處的石色調，來自當地灰泥的水洗處理，並以溫和的鐵媒染劑固色，因此每張墊子的色調皆略有不同。
Sandry 親眼見證了示範：車縫師將亞麻布套拉過一團棉雲，兩度反折邊緣，再車上一道緊密的縫線 — 沒有滾邊，也沒有合成填充物。就在當天下午，他為 tea.furniture 訂下了首批。這些墊子現在仍來自同一間工坊，由同一位師傅監製每一件作品。它們的設計，足以承受一生的跪坐使用，進到茶室裡不喧嘩 — 對一張地板墊而言，這是最高的讚譽。

Crisp, cool surface — the linen’s irregular stone-grey weave recalls unglazed clay. Mild raw-cotton scent from the batting.

After a session, the fibers relax slightly, holding a gentle impression of warmth without flattening.
