From a Kunming courtyard — the cushion that carries Yunnan earth

The linen cover is woven in Zhejiang from European flax, then naturally dyed to a warm oatmeal shade using tea stain and iron mordant. Each cushion is assembled by hand, the hulls tamped to just the right density: firm enough to support the spine during an hour-long gongfu ceremony, but forgiving enough to let the hips settle without strain. The removable cover, secured with a hidden zipper, makes care effortless. Sandry’s procurement contract ensures the workshop maintains its traditional pace — no rush orders, no price squeezing — preserving a craft that will likely outlast us.
